Question 1

What is Short Film Creations?

Accepted Answer

Short Film Creations creates personalized cinematic short films featuring your real family. Parents provide reference photos and details about their family, and we transform your family members into consistent movie characters inside a custom 3–5 minute story.

Question 2

How does this work?

Accepted Answer

You tell us about your family, upload clear reference photos of each family member, choose the type of movie you want, and tell us anything special to include. Our creative team builds your personalized short film and delivers the completed movie digitally.

Question 3

How long are the movies?

Accepted Answer

Each personalized movie is approximately 3–5 minutes long — long enough to tell a real story, short enough for kids to watch again and again.

Question 4

How many family members can appear?

Accepted Answer

There's no hard limit. Movies can feature parents, children, grandparents, siblings, pets and more. Larger casts are a great fit for our Epic Family Adventure package.

Question 5

What kind of photos do you need?

Accepted Answer

Provide approximately three clear photos per character whenever possible: a front-facing photo, a 45-degree angle, and a side profile. Additional photos may be requested when necessary.

Question 6

Can grandparents appear?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Grandparents make wonderful supporting characters — and they make fantastic gifts from grandparents, too.

Question 7

Can our pets appear?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pets can be incorporated into the story as characters alongside your family.

Question 8

Can you create a movie for a birthday?

Accepted Answer

Yes — birthday movies are one of our most popular adventures, with the birthday child as the star.

Question 9

Can you create Christmas movies?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We create personalized holiday adventures starring your entire family for Christmas and other holidays.

Question 10

Can the movie teach my child something?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Educational and life-lesson stories put your child inside an adventure where they discover the lesson themselves, making it personal and memorable.

Question 11

Can I choose the lesson?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can request a specific lesson — sharing, kindness, honesty, patience, teamwork and many more — and we'll build the story around it.

Question 12

Can you use our family's real personalities?

Accepted Answer

That's the whole idea. The little details — personalities, habits, inside jokes, favorite things — are what turn a generic story into your family's story.

Question 13

Can you include family jokes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Family inside jokes and funny habits are some of the best material for a personalized comedy or adventure.

Question 14

Can I request a superhero story?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Superhero adventures give your child their own powers, costume and origin story.

Question 15

Can I request something completely custom?

Accepted Answer

Always. If you have your own crazy idea, tell us about it and we'll help turn it into a movie.

Question 16

Can we order another episode later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Once we've created your family's characters, come back for future birthdays, holidays, milestones and adventures. One movie can become a whole series.

Question 17

How long does production take?

Accepted Answer

Production time varies with the complexity of your story and our current schedule. Share your needed-by date in the order form and we'll confirm timing.

Question 18

How is my movie delivered?

Accepted Answer

Your completed movie is delivered digitally so you can download it, watch it, and keep it forever.

Question 19

Can I watch it on my television?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The digital file can be cast or played on your television so the whole family can watch together on movie night.

Question 20

Can I share it with family?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can share your family's movie with relatives so grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins can enjoy it too.

Question 21

Can I post it on social media?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you may share your family's movie on your personal social media. Please see our Content Policy for details.

Question 22

What happens if I need a revision?

Accepted Answer

We want you to love your movie. Revision details and any included rounds are explained in our Refund / Revision Policy.

Question 23

Are my family photos kept private?

Accepted Answer

Your photos and family information are used for creating your personalized project and handled according to our Privacy Policy and applicable Terms. See our Privacy Policy and Photo / Likeness Authorization for details.
